Kirby Sanitation is proud to announce the acquisition of Loni Waste Service, expanding our commitment to dependable, locally owned solid waste services across the Upstate of South Carolina. This transition allows us to continue delivering the same reliable service Loni customers expect—now supported by the people, resources, and values of the Kirby Sanitation team.

At Kirby, service is about more than collecting trash. It’s about communication, consistency, and care for the communities we serve. That’s why everything we do is guided by Kirby CARE.

What This Means for Loni Waste Service Customers

🗑️ Trash Pickup & Routes

Some pickup days will remain the same, while others may change as routes are optimized. Please continue placing your trash cart at the curb the night before your current service day.

  • If your pickup day changes, you will receive a red notification sticker placed on the top of your trash cart.

  • Our goal is a smooth transition with minimal disruption to your service.

🚛 Trash Carts

Please continue using the trash cart originally provided by Loni Waste Service.

  • Set carts out the night before your scheduled service day

  • Carts will continue to be serviced as usual

No cart exchanges are required at this time.

💳 Billing & Invoices

Billing will remain very similar, with one important change:

  • All future bills will come from Kirby Sanitation

  • Your first Kirby Sanitation invoice will be issued December 1st and will cover January, February, and March

  • Email invoices will now be sent from info@kirbyupstate.com

⚠️ Important: Any invoices already issued by Loni Waste Service must still be paid directly to Loni Waste Service.

🔄 Autopay

Autopay information does not transfer during the acquisition.

To re‑enroll in autopay:

Please wait until you receive your first Kirby Sanitation invoice before enrolling.

💰 Payments

Once your Kirby Sanitation invoice is received, payments can be made:

  • Online at kirbyupstate.com

  • By phone using a credit or debit card

  • By mail using the address listed on your invoice

For existing Loni Waste Service invoices, payment must still be made to Loni Waste Service through their established channels.

📌 Pricing

Good news — your current pricing will remain the same.

If a price adjustment is ever needed in the future:

  • You will receive at least 30 days’ advance notice

  • No surprise charges
